A dispensing system is described for the application of rotenone, a toxicant used when treating lakes to remove undesired fish populations. The system allows emulsions to be dispensed at all depths and minimizes spillage of the toxicant in the dispensing boats. The method is economical and rapid. Previously, large weighted hoses were used, and gravity dispensed the toxicant. The new method uses compressed CO2 to more efficiently dispense the toxicant, with far fewer boats and less expense.
