This catalogue is the second phase of an initiative to provide information on components, indicators, targets and benchmarks for environmental values in BC. Selection of values to be addressed was guided by priorities identified by regional Ecosystem Protection & Sustainability Branch biologists. Related initiatives by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations include the development of a provincial Values Framework, an Environmental Mitigation Policy, a Cumulative Effects Assessment and Management Framework, and cumulative effects pilot projects.
