This manual offers guidelines for evaluating forest stand and site nutrient status for silvicultural purposes. Forest fertilization is the only silvicultural practice explicitly considered, but some aspects of the guidelines may also be applied where estimation of nutrient status affects other silvicultural decisions, such as choosing among site preparation alternatives.
