The objectives of this problem analysis were to identify and describe sampling techniques and strategies pertinent to shrub inventory programs currently being developed by the British Columbia Ministry of Forests and Lands. Specific recommendations were developed (1) to quantify levels of forage production available for livestock and wildlife, and (2) to monitor changes in the forage resource.
