Abstract: This document describes the results of a site preparation trial established by the Ministry of Forests (MOF) and the Canadian Forestry Service, Pacific Forestry Center in 1986. One of the treatment options on these sites is the formation of inverted humus mounds. Three implements were used to create mounds: the Sinkkila HMF scarifier, the MOF-developed mounder (Ministry mounder), and the Bracke mounder.
