Douglas fir 2+0 bareroot stock was planted at five locations in the Coast-Interior Transition Zone in the Vancouver Forest Region. Six plantings were conducted per year over a 2-month period from late spring to mid-summer each year for 3 years (1977-1979). Plantation performance was related to the Canadian Fire Weather Index System (FWI).
