Operability mapping helps to determine which portions of the productive forest landbase will be available in the long term for harvesting and other forest management activities. As such, operability is an important input layer for Timber Supply Review (TSR). Changes in market conditions and harvesting technologies require that operability mapping be periodically revaluated if it is to provide meaningful input into the TSR process. This report outlines the development of a dynamic economic operability assessment model created for the Arrowsmith TSA.
