The principal objectives of this watershed assessment are to: Assess water resource values with respect to impacts of beetle-kill and future potential forest development; and Provide recommendations to mitigate potential negative hydrologic impacts of pine mortality and/or forest development. As outlined in Summit?s January 31, 2006 work plan, the watershed assessment was organized into two (2) phases to accomplish the above objectives. Phase 1 included the following specific tasks: 1. Start-up call and meeting; 2. Stakeholder meeting; 3. Information compilation and review; 4. Aerial photo review; 5. Preliminary mapping; and 6. Field planning and interim reporting. Phase 2 included the following specific tasks: 1. Helicopter reconnaissance; 2. Ground-based inspection; 3. Analysis; 4. Draft reporting; 5. Stakeholder meeting #1; 6. Preparation of draft report; 7. Stakeholder meeting #2; and 8. Submission of final report.
