Fish Passage Culvert Inspection (FPCI) 2007. determined that the primary culvert had an outlet jump height of 0.49m and had high culvert water velocities (1.80/sec), which exceeds the sustained swimming capacity of adult rainbow trout. The culvert was significantly undersized for Q100 flows. Fish presence had been confirmed for 6.1kms upstream of this site. The FPCI Priority rank score was 49. The report recommended removal of the primary and overflow culvert structures and replacement with an open bottom structure.
