The Nicola Simlkameen Innovative Forestry Society (NSIFS) is made up of First Nations, licensees, and government agencies working towards co-management of natural resources in the Merritt TSA. As part of the mandate of this organization, innovative modelling and analysis have been completed that support integrated resource management. The NSIFS use a web-based information management and access framework to store, summarize and query complex habitat modelling information for the Merritt TSA. This information access framework provides access to strategic planning datasets in a simple, fast interface. As part of a multi-year initiative, the NSIFS are incorporating all finalized ecological habitat models into this site.
