Abstract: The purpose of this guide is to provide a simplified list and description of cornmon plants, including bryophytes and lichens which occur in the Kamloops Forest Region. It is intended to accompany the "Field Guide for the Identification and Interpretation of Ecosystems of the Western Kamloops Forest Region", Land Management Handbook No.2. The handbook will assist in the identification of plants listed in the characteristic combination of species provided for each ecosystem association and phase. The guide includes over 300 plant species which occur in the Kamloops Region. For each species there is a diagram, a general habit description and a description of leaves, flower, fruit and general habitat. Habitat descriptions will be made more specific for the Kamloops Region at a later date. Copies of Land Management Handbook No.3, "A Guide to Some Cornmon Plants of the Kamloops Region, British Columbia" by K. Angove, are available from; Information Services Branch, B.C. Ministry of Forests, 1450 Government Street, Victoria, B.C. V8W 3E7. [Abstract contains full text of memo.]
