2003

Abstract: Mule deer winter range definition for the Adams Lake IFPA was completed using information from two different methods of winter range identification. A RISC suitability model and a DEM capability model were used. Broad Assessment Units (2-4000 ha) were delineated which included capable habitat identified from both models. Within the Assessment Units, 200-400 ha Planning Cells were defined to ensure the proximity of forage and shelter habitats.
