Iisaak Forest Resources Ltd. - a joint venture between the Central Region Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations (51 percent owners) and Weyerhaeuser Inc. (capped at 49 percent) - is launching a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation project, to define and test sustainable forest management goals and strategies for its forest land tenure in Clayoquot Sound. The program is called the Iisaak Sustainable Forestry Project (ISFP), and is designed to install permanent adaptive management and monitoring components into Iisaak's activities, operations, and decision-making processes.
