Abstract: From 1997 to 2002, water quality monitoring in the Lang Creek watershed was funded and performed under the auspices of Forest Renewal BC. The purpose of the water quality monitoring was to assess the variability of water quality parameters within the Lang Creek watershed and to develop water quality objectives. The purpose of this report is to inform the stakeholders regarding attainment of water quality and water quantity objectives during the period January 1, 2002 through to February 28, 2003. This type of report is the epitome of a results based system that British Columbia is adopting at the present time. Maintaining water quality and quantity consistent with objectives provides stakeholders with unequivocal evidence that management practices are maintaining water quality.
