Abstract: The CR222G road was identified by Weyerhaeuser Company Limited, West Island Timberlands Unit as a high priority for road deactivation because of an inspection report which identified the instability problems and the potential hazard to the Bamfield Main line. The CR222G spur road is constructed across a easterly facing slope at approximately 700 m elevation. The spur road crosses steeply sloping terrain with very little slope break down to the Bamfield Main Line. The road fills are slumping in a number of locations and as a result this road is considered a very high hazard for a slopes failure.
