As part of meeting management planning objectives for TFL 47, recreation sites must be assessed periodically for the presence of dangerous (hazardous) trees. Consequently, a certified danger tree assessor was hired to assess the Ida and Bonanza Lake Recreation Sites. Trees within 1.5 tree lengths of outhouses and individual campsites were visually assessed for tree hazards, according to provincial standards for danger tree assessments in recreation sites. Any hazardous trees were identified for subsequent removal, and additional management recommendations were provided.
