Abstract: The project is designed to maintain and sustain an existing project that was initiated at the request of timber harvesting companies and District Managers. The project is collecting data on the feasibility and cost effectiveness of landing rehabilitation. Keeping more land in the productive land base is probably the most effective, and possibly the most effective way of enhancing forest productivity. The approach of keeping land in the productive forest is acceptable to almost all forest users groups and could be a strong indicator of environmentally friendly forestry management. The extension proposed is targeted at those who are directly concerned with promoting this type of activity. Bill Chapman
