Abstract: The intent of this project is to carry out incremental work that is required to either (1) save the integrity of the currently SCBC/FII funded Long-term Soil Productivity network (LTSP); or (2) to increase their value, to attract more outside researchers. The LTSP is North America's largest soil research network (62 installations), focussed on fundamental questions related to sustaining productivity, and testing soil disturbance guidelines. The B.C. Ministry of Forests is one of the major collaborators, having 15 installation replicates; elk fences on 3 sites, and some organic matter work will protect and enhance this year's investments.
