Given a new policy context for protecting species at risk (the anticipated federal Species at Risk Act and expansion of the Identified Wildlife Management Regime under the new results-based Forest Practices Code), along with a growing national and international focus on BC's forest stewardship performance, this project (a) will evaluate how these changes will affect forest operations planning in BC, (b) will identify and test policy options and/or research needs in terms of stakeholders' interests, and (c) will recommend policy reforms and research priorities Paul M Wood, Laurie Flahr, Frances Backhouse.
