Abstract: Fraser Lake Sawmills, in collaboration with FERIC, the BCFS, and UNBC, has established several trials which together form a larger long-term study directed at addressing knowledge gaps and developing tools which are key to achieving cost effective and sustainable management of lodgepole pine forests in the SBSdk and SBSmc2 biogeoclimatic zones. The results of this project will be valuable to resource policy makers, planners, managers, economists and operational foresters and will ultimately lead to higher quality timber and resulting forest products, as well as better utilization, which will lead to 'improved stewardship and market acceptability of these forest products.'
