In the summer of 2003, the Resource Management Department of the Sechelt First Nation was contracted to conduct salmonid presence/absence surveys on select streams within the Terminal Forest Products Sechelt Peninsula Chart Area. The purpose of this survey was to determine the extent of salmonid distribution on the peninsula with particular emphasis on the Sechelt Inlet side of the chart. The documented presence and/or absence data would then be incorporated into TFP?s land use planning and development of area development plans.
