This document provides a brief overview of the Vegetation Resource Inventory Phase 1 and 2 programs representing over 600,000 hectares encompassed within an Innovative Forest Practices Agreement between Lignum Limited, of Williams Lake, B.C. and the Government of British Columbia. It provides more detailed descriptions of the Natural Stand Permanent Plot and Stand Structure Plot establishment programs. Some context is provided as to why these programs were initiated and as to how the data have been used to date for improving the information available to support better forest management decisions.
