The Cluxewe River watershed, located west of Port McNeill on Vancouver Island, was selected by Western Forest Products (WFP), Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection (MWLAP) and Kwakiutl First Nation (KFN) for rehabilitation of fish habitat impacted by pre-Forest Practices Code logging (Figure 1). This project was funded by BC?s Forest Investment Account (FIA) and MWLAP?s Habitat Conservation Trust Fund. The project was managed by WFP and BC Conservation Foundation (BCCF). Additional field support was provided by BCCF and KFN staff.
