This Information Package has been prepared by Timberline Forest Inventory Consultants Ltd. (Timberline) on behalf of Pope & Talbot Ltd. (P&T) as a source document prior to the completion of the Kootenay-Boundary Higher Level Plan Order (KBHLPO) Spatial Timber Supply Analysis for the TFL 8 Timber Supply Area (TSA). Ministers officially declared the KBHLPO on December 22, 2000. Subsequently, on June 14, 2002 a proposed new Higher Level Plan Order was released. The Spatial Timber Supply Analysis will model the economic and environmental impact of the KBHLPO. The assumptions used in this analysis have been collated by reviewing and revising P&T management Plan 10 assumptions. Changes from MP 10 have been made where new information is available (i.e. proposed OGMAs and proposed mule deer winter range planning cells).
