A Breeding Bird Survey project in Tree Farm Licence 14 (Tembec Industries Inc.) was initiated in 1999 to provide long-term monitoring of the distribution and relative abundance of forest birds throughout the TFL. TFL #14 encompasses approximately 151,000 hectares in the rocky Mountain Forest District (Kootenay region) in the Southern Interior Mountains Ecoprovince. This report presents results of the seventh year (2005) of the monitoring project. Sixty-five bird species were detected. Three new species were detected.
