Abstract: Field work on this project was completed during Mar. / 06. 1000 CW 2-0 transplant seedlings were planted in the riparian area described above. Each seedling was fertilized with 'teabag' packs. Loose fertilizer (18-18-18) was applied the some of the original planted area(s). Approximately half of the seedlings were planted in the original area and the other half planted on the newly constructed pond areas (Project 001). Cattle are primarily the hindrance of the seedlings (trampling), so smaller brush piles were used instead of caging to protect them. Cattle dislike moving through brush, rather, they will tend to avoid it. Neil Osborne.
