In the summer of 2005, the Kingcome licensees, led by International Forest Products Ltd. (Interfor), solicited proposals for the completion of a site index adjustment (SIA) project in the Kingcome Timber Supply Area (TSA). J.S. Thrower & Associates Ltd. (JST) was awarded the contract to develop improved site index estimates for managed stands for the next timber supply analysis using random sampling and our proprietary biophysical model. The licensee group is implementing the SIA project over the 2005-06 and 2006-07 fiscal years. This memo outlines project activities completed in the 2005-06 fiscal, and provides an overview for activities in the next fiscal (April to August 2006).
