A Type 1 Silviculture Strategy was recently completed for the Prince George Timber Supply Area (TSA) that recommended silviculture and management actions to address the endemic infestation of mountain pine beetle (MPB). It is predicted that there will be a timber supply shortfall in the medium term due to the mountain pine beetle1 in the Prince George TSA. This Type II Silviculture Strategy will attempt to identify feasible and meaningful management actions and treatment options for an overall forest strategy to alleviate the timber supply shortfall and increase the quality of the timber supply and habitat supply for the TSA
