The overall objective of this project is to complete engineered site plan deisgns on 5 priority stream crossings in the Kazchek and Kloch operating areas. None of these crossings are within community watersheds.
Apollo completed a Fish Passage project on approximately 30 pre 1995 stream crossings in Apollo's Kazchek and Kloch operating areas (FIA project #2533001). The assessments were completed by an RPBio. Each crossing was priortized for replacement based on the condition of the existing structure, the value of the fish habitat upstream and downstream, the type of barrier, and the existing and potential hazard for deterioration of fish habitat as a result of the state of the culvert. Of the top priorty crossings, 5 were selected to have engineered site plans completed in 2007 ? which is the focus of this project.
