Objectives of the projectis to remove an old bridge over Cordella Creek for general public safety and reduce the environmental risks. Cordella Creek bridge is a failing structure that poses safety and environmental risks. The bridge is to be removed and access blocked to the area. A Deactivation plan was develpped with the help of DFO, local land owners and First Nations peoples. No access will be allowed to this area. Barricades entrances. Grass seeding on bridge site on disturbed soils. Barricades and signage in place to stop vehicle traffic. This project was completed on Oct. 25, 2008, Bridge removal and barricades as per deactivation plan. No vehicle access.
