Abstract: The report -2008 Fish Passage Culvert Assessments, Cascades Forest District FIA Project SOTSA185045001-, Karen Grainger, R.P.Bio., November 2008 identified this location as an upstream barrier to rainbow trout migration in McNulty Creek with a score of 29. The existing culvert had been installed in the 1980?s, was not embedded, had a 26cm outlet drop, was too narrow for the stream width (photo 1) and had a hydraulic jump at the inlet (photo 2) from rip rap placement. A hydrologic assessment and new crossing design were completed March 13, 2009 and the structure was installed September 17-25, 2009 (photo 3). The assessments that contributed to the decision to restore fish passage at this crossing are: -2008 Fish Passage Culvert Assessments, Cascades Forest District FIA Project SOTSA185045001-, Karen Grainger, R.P.Bio., November 2008. The score according to the March 2008 Fish Passage Protocol methodology was 29.
