Abstract: Stevens Creek and Whatshan River provides high value fish habitat for kokanee, rainbow trout, mountain whitefish and bull trout. As well, Whatshan Lake is a popular recreational fishing lake. The culvert crossings restricted fish passage. The conceptual design provided for the replacement of the culverts with concrete slab bridges. The opening under the structure was designed to conform to the natural creek width and gradient.
