The purpose of this Sustainable Forest Management Plan (SFM Plan) is to maintain and enhance the forest for the social, cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of the people who depend on the forest. It describes Tembec's long-term commitments to their 'Criteria and Indicators of Sustainability' through the implementation of the associated management strategies and operational approaches outlined. The plan has been prepared in support of the Forest Stewardship Council principles, and is intended to provide strategic direction for the preparation and approval of Forest Stewardship Plans (licensed tenures) and/or other management commitments.
