We conducted a literature search to summarize the spawning and rearing habitat requirements of bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) during the stream phases of their life history. The literature search focused primarily on "grey" literature that is difficult to obtain for most fisheries biologists. A total of 42 articles were located that contained information pertaining to rearing and spawning habitat use. These data are summarized in a tabular fashion. Habitat variables summarized for rearing bull trout were water temperature, water depth, water velocity, cover and substrate. Measures of habitat use during spawning that were summarized were water depth, water velocity and substrate.
