This study was initiated at the request of Region 2 to: 1) assess capability of available spawning and rearing habitat for rainbow, cutthroat and Dolly Varden in important tributaries of Cultus Lake; 2) to estimate present recruitment to the lake sport fishery from these sources; and 3) to determine potential for fish habitat improvement on those tributary streams which demonstrated salmonid rearing capability. This information was requested by management in order to ascertain whether it would be possible to provide a significantly improved lake fishery through stream enhancement.
