On July 21, 1982, 165,285 summer run steelhead fry were released into Silverhope Creek. One month later the sampled total biomass and steelhead fry densities were 7.23 g/m2 and 1.0 fry/m2 respectively, in line with goals set up in 1979. Present work however, suggest that these high densities may retard growth of both stocked and wild fry.
