Fourteen species of fish were collected from the reservoir. Kokanne (Oncorhynchus nerka) were not previously recorded from the immediate reservoir area, but a few individual females were collected from each basin in 1974 and 1975. Out of a total of about 15,000 fishes collected during this study, not a single specimen of northern pike (Esox lucius) was taken from any of the sampling stations in the reservoir. The smallest total catch per unit effort was probably an indication that the lowest productive capacity was in the Finlay Basin; larger total catches from the Peace and Parsnip indicated about 1.2 times greater productive capability in those basins compared to the Finlay. Lake whitefish, the dominant species in the reservoir, made up the greatest proportion of the catch at all but 2 stations, both in the Finaly Basin. At these two stations, relatively large numbers of sports fish (Dolly Varden and rainbow trout) were found. Newly introduced species like kokanee will probably alter the relative abundance
