Abstract: RL&L participated in several studies in 1999 to investigate white sturgeon populations in the Nechako and upper Fraser River drainages. These studies included the fifth year of the Fraser River White Sturgeon Monitoring Program for BC Ministry of Environment Lands and Parks (MELP) in Region 7, a cooperative sampling program with TRITON (funded by ALCAN) to study juvenile Nechako River sturgeon, and a survey conducted by LTFN to gather information on upper Fraser River sturgeon. The focus of this report was to summarize the results of the study conducted by BC MELP, although notable findings from the other white sturgeon studies in Region 7 (i.e., ALCAN and LTFN) were presented. Details on sturgeon growth, distribution, population size, movements, reproductive development, sex ratios and capture methods are presented
