Abstract: Southwest-facing slopes in the inland Skeena region support a diverse mosaic of ecosystems with many peripheral plant and animal species. Maintaining their very dynamic disturbance regimes while simultaneously avoiding environmental degradation presents a special challenge for ecosystem management.
