This is a report on a continuing radio-tracking study of caribou in the Spatsizi Wilderness Park area of northern British Columbia. Field activities during the period, late October 1980 through November 1984, included two major capture expediditons, four aerial census surveys in rut concentration areas, and 59 radio-tracking flights. The major topics addressed here relate to the genteral life history of caribou in the area, including the consideration of seasonal movements, distribution and habitat use, aggregation patterns, aspects of population dynamics, scheduling of events in the annual cycle, and group distinctions.
