Abstract: Significant technological shifts in managing wildlife have occurred over the past decade. However, the greatest influence on the process of management has come from the public with its growing concern for the environment and how it is managed. The Fish and Wildlife Branch has acknowledged this concern by enhancing the opportunity for the public to participate in the formulation of policies and proposals on fish and wildlife management. Following closely on the release of the Branch's management goals and objectives, this Species Plan for Mountain Sheep was prepared for publication. This is but another step in the process of soliciting constructive interests and comment from the public on the future management of British Columbia's wildlife species.
