Abstract: Resource planners and managers are faced with a need to protect or enhance the diversity of animals and their habitats within British Columbia, while maintaining a sustainable flow of economic benefits. Graphic presentation of the present suitability and capability of the landscape to produce renewable resources allows comparison of relative resource values and determination of the effects of various treatments on the individual resources. Biophysical mapping is the most effective way of identifying wildlife resources.
