During the mid 1960's an extensive study was carried out on Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in the Eastern Kootenay region of south-eastern BC. One aspect of this study was to determine the chemical composition of forage plants on key winter ranges and whether these plants met the mineral requirements of bighorn sheep. Since very little was known about the chemical composition of forage plants in the East Kootenay, it was necessary to do a literature search from other regions. To determine mineral requirements of bighorn sheep, we again did a literature search. This annotated bibliography resulted from these two literature searches.
