This paper is a progress report on how well the recommendations and goals set by the Cleaner Technology Vehicles (CTV) Committee in July 1996 have been met, so far. Both government and industry have taken important steps to increase CTV purchases and use in BC, as well as to enhance the alternative fuel infrastructure. Overall progress during 1996-7 was encouraging, although continued effort is needed in all areas.
