This report was prepared for the Canadian agencies involved in air quality management in the Lower Fraser Valley airshed. This is an ternational airshed where Canadian agencies have been working together for over a decade, and also engage U.S. partners in efforts to manage air quality.Technical staff from the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks, Environment Canada ? Pacific and Yukon Region and the Greater Vancouver Regional District have produced this summary of the air quality issues associated with the 660 MW Sumas Energy 2 gas-fired power project proposed in the State of Washington. This review was undertaken to assess the potential for the facility emissions to aggravate poor air quality conditions that can occur in this airshed.
