The task of setting water quality objectives in priority basins in British Columbia began in mid 1982. By the end of 1994, the Ministry had set water quality objectives in 40 bodies of water, including fresh and marine, throughout the Province. Anual monitoring to check the attainment of objectives started in 1987. This report presents the results of monitoring done in 1993 to check the attainment of objectives in 32 basins.
