Abstract |
This was the first phase of a watershed indicators project, per Sections 4.2 and 4.3 of the FIA Deactivation, Landslide & Gully Projects Standard. The Aquatic Biological and Physical Monitoring component also applies to the Phase. (ref. Monitoring Land Use Impacts on Fish Sustainability in Forest Environments, Gustavson and Brown, 2002). The overall objective was to further watershed sustainability objectives at the management unit level by developing sustainability indicators. Specific project objectives of this phase were as follows: ? Complete overview level inventories to provide data for planning of future FIA projects, and to develop physical watershed indicators (to be done in Phase 2). ? Identify restoration opportunities and priorities for road deactivation, riparian assessments and in-stream habitat assessments. | ||||||
