Abstract |
All harvesting and road construction activities were completed in the early 1990's, with various degrees of deactivation from permanent deactivation (with extensive pullback) to temporary deactivation being completed by the mid 1990's. All major drainage access structures were left intact during this period of time. The majority of these drainage access structures were comprised of wooden box culverts, and log stringer bridges which were in the later stages of decay. Portions of these structures had collapsed and were lying within the streams and river channels. The majority of roads were found to be stable but some evidence of tension cracking and slumping was noted, and was attributed to insufficient pullbacks during previous deactivation activities. | ||||||||||||
