Abstract |
In 2006 a field based risk analysis was conducted on approximately 8 km or old non-status road in the study area to confirm or revise overview level risk ratings and prescribe deactivation work. As a result of difficult access and heavy brush, all roads in the study area were not assessed at that time. Concern regarding the potential to miss roads in the review and prescription process resulted in further detailed inventory work with better aerial photos. P&T is planning to complete the risk ratings and prescriptions for all roads and carry out deactivation works where prescribed in the fall 2007. Proposed level of deactivation is permanent and the roads are currently overgrown and afford no vehicle access. | ||||||
