Abstract |
The gabion retaining wall located at station 2+055-2+083 is failing from surface and sub-surface flows which is eroding the initial base of the subgrade. The objective of this environmental project is to remove the gabion structure to eliminate the potential for further failure. This project was proposed to permanently deactivate this section of road because as it existed the road prism over this interval of road was not suitable for public use due to a safety hazard and was judged to be a high risk for environmental damage to Smyth Creek. | ||||||
